Unbelievable...

(AP Photo/Nick Wass)

I thought for sure we were done when we didn't capitalize on that 5 on 3 in the first period. And I really thought for sure we were done when we played like crap for the entire third period. But somehow, they did it.

I'll return to my usual negativity tomorrow (I mean cmon, we have to play the Habs now!!!) but for now I'll bask in the glow of one win....

  1. Congrats to your boys, my dear - it was a well-fought series from game one and the most entertaining one of the first round, as it deserved to be.

I wish I could say now I'm rooting for y'all to go all the way, but...you happened to draw my second favorite team for the next round so I don't see that happening ;)

  2. Yeah I was gonna jump on the Habs bandwagon, but I guess that's not gonna happen now. (Not saying that you are bandwagonning...)

And I love you referring to Hatcher and Smith as pylons...I knew there was a word for them!

  3. Kristin, did you make it down to the game here last night? The DC Comcast (and prob the same in Philly) showed this group of four lonely Flyers fans a couple times and I swore one looked like you. Guess I keep thinking I see you in places. But I agree with the feelings in the third, I was trying to reserve myself with the fact that I could still follow the Caps and hope for them to crush the Pens, haha.

  4. Luckily I can for once claim I am really not bandwagoning, since I went to school in Montreal and adopted the Habs - just a lucky coincidence that they happen to be awesome this year!!

And I love you referring to Hatcher and Smith as pylons...I knew there was a word for them!

I think the exact phrase was "big slow pylons"...and if it wasn't I must have hit enter too fast ;)

  5. Yeah Steve, I think most Flyers fans are still in a state of shock. I know I am!

And no I wasn't there last night. After my jinxing roadtrip on Saturday, I decided another roadtrip might be a bad thing, so I just stayed home!
