I cannot root for either team in the Pens/Caps series. Right? I mean, I hate the Pens. Ovechkin drives me crazy. Pens fans are douches, Caps fans are idiots. It's a lose/lose situation right?
I can't root for the Broons. Canes are okay. They've got Leighton, so there's that.
Canucks? I don't believe I've ever watched a Canucks game in my entire life.
Chicago? Meh. Sure, they've got Eager, so there's that, but come on, that's not a lot to go on.
Detroit? Boring to root for them.
Ducks. Ducks. Ducks. The Pronger. Ducks all the way.
yeah, I got nothing. I guess we'll have to wait and see once the games get started.

Plus, the Canes have Rod the Bod! How can you not like Ovechkin? He is probably the most exciting player since Gretzky!?!? Plus, the Caps have never been a great team. Granted, they went to the Final in the 90's (or 80's), but they have never been a team to fear like the Flyers, Pens or Wings. Out west, you gotta be pulling for Chicago, mainly b/c they have a lot of personality, think Flyers-lite, and some young awesome players.

ReplyDeleteEric Staal drives me insane so I'm not cheering for his team... which is a minor pity because I obviously detest the Bruins...
I think I went with the Wings for the West if only because I never watch anybody out West so I just picked a team that I might actually be able to watch at a decent hour.... =p

ReplyDeleteOf all the teams left.. yea I got nothing. I just watch the games with a very neutral stance. (Except when it comes to Versteeg). Unless it's Boston/Carolina. Then I root for the ceiling to fall down. (Leighton should be spared as he is closest to the exits). GO ROOF!
ReplyDeleteI'm finding that not liking Ovechkin is not a very popular position to take! I just don't like him after that dive of his in the playoffs last year. He stayed down on the ice for a minute, and was back out on the ice for the ensuing power play. Lame!
