A night without hockey?

Sheesh. I don't know what to do with myself without hockey. I watch a game every night, whether or not the Flyers are playing, and with 3 nights off, I'm realizing how much lame crap is on regular television. Yuck.

Anyhow, above is a picture of Crybaby Crosby looking his very whiniest, from the game on 12/11/07...one of my favorite games of the season. Sadly, it is one of two games that my tivo ate, so if anyone out there has a copy, let me know. I would loooove to see it again!

  1. crybaby huh? Why is it that the only crying I hear is from Flyer fans who are already making excuses as to why the your going to loose this series. Just another reason I hate your city. Read more at www.shmaiken.com !!!!! loser

  3. i'm pissed that they took a week off in between games... plus i miss tomorrow nights game cuz i'll be driving home. its gonna be an anxious three hours in the car for me...

    @shmaiken
    i agree with you, we will be "loose" all series because there is no pressure on the flyers to win. no one has picked them all playoffs, and they've still shocked every team. pittsburgh is just next in the long line of "good" teams to
    lose to philly.

    also, after a quick look at your website its clear you rely on pathos rather than facts to support your arguments. first of all, it was the ottawa media that blamed the pens for tanking the final game. secondly, i like how you say the flyers were lucky to make the playoffs. seems to me that the flyers were sitting at #1 in the conference in january before everyone got hurt at the same time. plus the flyers have proved they belong by knocking out alex and co. and then the #1 seeded canadiens. also, the flyers proved they can handle the pens this year by beating them three times w/ crosby in the lineup and twice w/out. whereas two of your three wins came against the flyers depleted lineup.

  5. Crosby doesn't look nearly as whiny in that picture as some of the pictures I saw of Richards from the Habs series. You guys should be able to do better.

    Folks need to learn how to spell "lose," whatever the case.

    K-Mart,

    Don't talk to us about injuries. We had to rely on a superb Ty Conklin for the meat of the season. Seriously dude, don't be so blind. You guys still had little Danielle (yes, as in the girls name) Briere playing when Richards went down. He's a top-two center, right?

  6. oh boo hoo, you guys had one or two players go down. we had five or six go down for lengths of time. though, it's a lot easier to cope with injuries when you suck for so long that you're able to draft two superstars.

  7. We lost our captain (who happens to be one of the top ten best forwards in the world) and our starting goalie, both for about a third of the season. You lost Richards for three weeks. What else? I know Bobby Orr and Ray Borque are both injured right now, but that's the playoffs, ain't it?

    Seriously, I really am sorry that we were bad for a couple of years while getting the bankruptcy thing sorted out, playing in a small market and not having a salary cap. I really am sorry about that.
