It started off like an ordinary day...

And then Gator became a Senator. No, not a policy making senator, but an Ottawa Senator. We were all sort of prepared for this day, and all I can say is:

Thank goodness he is not a Devil!!!

  1. While we did avoid seeing Gator in a Devils sweater, you did see that we picked up one of the Christmas-colored contingent, right?

  2. Yeah, I saw that yesterday and immediately went into denial. No Devils on my team, thank you very much!

  3. It was sad to see Gator go, but it could have been worse. Although it's bitter-sweet for me because there was talk of Kyle being traded to Ottawa, which now that they have Gator prolly won't happen. So, thanks Gator, although I'll miss you!

Did you see that Thoresen is going to play in Europe? I guess even sacrificing the family jewels to an orginization won't guarantee you a one way contract...

  4. Yeah, I guess the Gator signing was a little anti-climatic, since we all knew he was going elsewhere. I just wish he had chosen a better destination... like the Sharks perhaps? (Though not now that they have Boyle and co. Their defense situation is suddenly extremely tight!)

Gator looks soooo pissed in that picture! Like, "Hells no, I was never going to sign with the Devils!"

  5. Actually, I'd prefer if he was a real Senator, but yeah, anywhere except NJ.

Now Soph can wear her "Flyers" shoes in support of Gator!

  6. Ugh Ottawa is pretty bad too. Why couldn't he have gone to a Western Conference team?

Sad to see that Thoresen went back to Europe, I liked him. :-/

We got Jim Dowd from the Devils last season, who'd we get now?
